Our Trainers
Kevin Zeff, ACSM CPT
With a lifelong love of all things gym, Kevin first got started in the industry in 2000 with an exercise science degree from Liberty University, followed by graduate studies at Virginia Tech in clinical exercise physiology. Kevin has continued to develop his lifelong passion for fitness for over twenty years in multiple settings including six years as an exercise physiologist in the Florida Keys followed by over 14 years with Carilion Clinic as an Exercise Physiologist, Supervisor, and most recently, Director of Operations for Carilion Wellness. He most enjoys helping people discover the benefits of strength training and helping them find new ways to challenge themselves.

Colton Gauman, CSCS, USAW - L2
Since earning his bachelor’s degree in exercise physiology from the University of Lynchburg, Colton has spent the past decade working in private and collegiate sports performance, personal training, and rehabilitation. His knowledge and experiences are reflected in his versatility and interdisciplinary approach towards training. Above all, he is committed and passionate for helping others find consistency and excitement in their health and fitness.

Elzbieta Zeff, ACE Certified Personal Trainer
Elzbieta “Ela” Zeff is an ACE-certifed Personal Trainer, swim coach, and strength & conditioning trainer for the H2okie Aquatics swim team. Born and raised in Poland, she met her husband Kevin in a Florida Keys gym, where their shared love of weightlifting grew into both a family and Zeffer Fitness.
Ela is passionate about helping women build strength, improve stability, and increase mobility. She wants women of every age to move confidently and age with grace. She loves showing women how weight-bearing movements boost energy and self-esteem.
Drawing from her own journey with mental health, she encourages women to use strength training as a powerful way to ease anxiety, lift depression, and release the stress of everyday life. She especially loves supporting women in peri- and menopause who may feel unsure in the weight room. With patience and encouragement, she helps them start their wellness journey while rediscovering just how strong they really are.

Claire Deplazes, ACSM CPT
Claire is a recent graduate of Oklahoma State University with a degree in Applied Exercise Science and is a Certified Personal Trainer through ACSM. She combines a strong foundation in exercise science with real-world experience across a variety of training styles. Whether your goal is to build muscle, improve body composition, increase your energy, or simply get more active, she's there to guide you every step of the way!
